This next image is by the wonderful Belinda Higgins! What an honor to be able to paint for her. This final image is actually 2 images merged. The mom of the little girl liked the background, but wanted a different pose, so Belinda sent me both and I worked my magic. I plan to paint the original of the other pose just because I think it's so perfect!  :)

The varnish is drying as we speak so I can get started. After that, I'll be working on some touch-up's on another painting for a client. May take a while on that one, I'm detailing a background that was photographed out of focus.  Hmmm.

I'll post pics of the canvas when I'm finished with it and it has had time to dry.  :)

This first image was such a joy to paint.  What a cutie, eh?  Loved her eyes and that sweet little mouth!

This last one was also fun to paint.  It just proves that even snapshots can be beautiful pieces of artwork if you care enough to invest in it.  :)  This was done for a colleague's daughter and son in law.

WooHooo!!!  I got to meet Brian Dattilo, Lucas of Days of our Lives, Saturday!  He was at our local Wal Mart doing a type of meet and greet.  Got my picture taken with him too.  *swoon* *faint*

It was great meeting him, he's a very charming, down to earth guy.  But, I'm such a Days' fan that it was such an awesome experience for me!  :)

Here's the pics I got.  My daughter, mom and sister in law were there as well, but this is MY blog.  :D I look so goofy!

A new scenic oil painting on linen canvas. I got this image from my new apartment complex, Villas at Huffmeister. It is the little gardens by the unit doors. I thought it would make a beautiful scenic painting.rockgarden.jpg

Painted in Corel Painter using Den's Funky Chunky and Oil Luscious, and blended with the oily blender.

I also added a touch of Lucis Art sculpture to make the brushwork pop, then added an irish linen texture to it.

One is of my daughter Katelynne, the other is an image I created of myself and Katelynne for our home that I played with using this technique.

It was first painted in Corel Painter, then finished off in Photoshop tweaking colors and blending with textures found on the web.
